Tips for a smooth visit

  • Know the shop number. Every shop has a unit number on its signboard (for example A2080 or D2086). Look traders up in the online shop directory first.
  • Carry mixed payment. Most traders accept bank transfer and POS; small cash helps for transport and snacks.
  • Compare before you buy. Many shops stock similar items, so walk a floor before committing.
  • Bargain politely. Prices are usually negotiable. Read our Lagos bargaining guide.
  • Keep valuables close. Like any busy market, keep phones and bags in front of you.
